Peak Alert
When the "Peak Alert" lettering is flashing, Eau Claire Energy Cooperative is experiencing a Peak Alert event. This is a period of high electrical usage and all load classes connected to our load management program are being controlled. Any commercial accounts that are being billed on a Peak Alert Rate will be billed the higher on-peak charge for loads running during that event.
When the Peak Alert image is NOT flashing, there is NO Peak Alert event, but some load classes may still be controlled. To determine if a specific class is being controlled, click on the appropriate Residential or Commercial link below the "Peak Alert" lettering to get information on that specific load class.
During Peak Alert events all members can help by reducing their electrical usage as much as possible from 1:00pm to 5:00pm that day. This will help in keeping our electric rates as low as possible.
