Learning from co-op employees

The Eau Claire Energy Cooperative Youth Ambassador Program is an exciting program designed to help high school students learn first hand about many leadership skills necessary in life. Students will have the opportunity to learn about cooperatives and energy issues, as well as plan and participate in community service projects.

Eight monthly meetings are scheduled from September through May (no meeting planned during the month of December) on the third Wednesday of the month. Lunch is provided at each meeting. Most meetings take place at ECEC, but students will also travel to other locations. Some meetings include a hands-on activity or workshop.

The Youth Ambassador Program is a great way for students to interact and work with one another by examining the business operations of a cooperative and energy issues.
