Eau Claire Energy Cooperative (ECEC) is proud to celebrate Andy Bourget, Mike Golat, and Tom Schwartz for earning their Director Gold Renewal Certificates from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). This special recognition highlights their commitment to learning, leadership, and serving the cooperative’s members.

The Director Gold credential is designed for board members who continue their education beyond the basic requirements for serving on a cooperative board. To maintain this status, directors complete courses and attend events that help them stay informed about leadership, governance, and ways to improve the cooperative for members.

ECEC is proud that 88% of our directors hold Director Gold certificates, far above the national average of 25% and statewide average of 30%. The recent renewals by Andy, Mike, and Tom show their dedication to doing the best job possible for the people and communities we serve.

Those who earn Director Gold receive a certificate, a lapel pin, and recognition at national and regional events. More importantly, it shows a commitment to continuous learning and making informed decisions that benefit all members of the cooperative.
